Announcing a major step forward for Mopar fans and racers alike: World Products produces the 426 HEMI and 440 RB engine block line in aluminum and Compacted Graphite! A brand-new version of the classic “Elephant” and RB with improvements as only World Castings can make them.
Designed by World with a “wish-list” of features by noted Hemi racer and builder Ray Barton, this block will have all the quality that World is known for. Blocks cast in aluminum and Compacted Graphite will be available from World Products and its dealers. All blocks will carry Mopar part numbers and logos. Let’s look at all the great features.

Comes with choice of three bore sizes:
4.250” / 4.320" / 4.500”
Can utilize all standard Chrysler components
Has standard deck height of 10.725”
Special High Performance Features
• Dual bolt pattern bell housing (Chrysler and GM)
•Standard or +.250” raised cam locations available
• Can be machined for 60mm cam bearings in either location
• Lifter bores can be spread up to .100” and machined to accommodate angles of 45 and 48 degrees
• Can be bored to 4.600” (CGI Wedge only)
• Available 10.200” deck-capable, 4.240” bore, raised cam CGI block
• Clearance for a 4.750” crank (using an external oil pick up line)
• Has provisions for external pick up line
• Can use either standard screw-in oil pick up or 2-bolt flange design. An adapter is provided for stock mounting.
• First four main caps are cross bolted (including front main)
• Strengthening webs in valley
• Oiling feeds rockers from both oil galleys instead of cam bearings

SOME FACTS ABOUT COMPACTED GRAPHITE
CGI falls between gray iron and ductile iron in regard to material strength. Though not as strong as ductile, CGI is 75% stronger and up to 75% stiffer than gray iron. It’s five times more fatigue resistant than aluminum at elevated temperatures, and twice as resistant to metal fatigue as gray iron.
Very small amounts of magnesium and titanium are included in CGI in the casting process. The percentage of ti content is very important because a small change in its percentage in the CGI can cut tool life in half.
Honing abrasives are different for CGI than gray iron. The number of strokes and the stones must be tuned for your specific requirements.
The weakness of all vee-engines is that there is flexing in the valley between cylinders under power. CGI strengthens this area considerably.
