The block is available in three deck heights, which enables the 8.2 blocks to be used in 302 style applications (Mustangs, etc.) while the taller 9.2 and 9.5 blocks are replacements for the 351 style engines used in Ford cars & trucks. The 8.2 deck "C" blocks have 351 distributor and oil pump location, so you can have clearance for longer stroke cranks. This easily permits strokes greater than 3.47". The 9.5 deck blocks have room for 4.25 " strokes and 460 cubic inches! |
